About Tina
I am a Certified Teacher and former Behavior Therapist with over 20 years experience working with both neurotypical children and those with learning differences such as ADHD.
I enjoy combining my experience as a mom, teacher, and behavior therapist. I feel that kids learn best when they don't really realize they are learning--like practicing letter sounds while making alphabet necklaces.
During the pandemic, I opened up a private practice offering child tutoring and parent coaching:

I enjoy changing my student's minds about learning. For example, while teaching 1st grade, I had a student who "hated reading". Through fun reading opportunities (i.e. readers theatre, puppets, and creating comic books) this student ended up loving reading!
Obtained Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
Taught 1st Grade
Behavioral Therapist (used positive reinforcement systems, learned play based strategies to increase engagement)
