About Tinsley
I am a teacher who loves to help students make connections and develop understanding with the content. I am currently in my 17th year of teaching. Throughout my career I have worked with students of all grade levels. I have also taught a wide variety of subjects include math, World History, American History, Reading, and Writing. I look forward to working with your student.
I decided to go into teaching after working in my mother's classroom. Having students understand something that I explained to them, made such an impact on me that I wanted to help more students.
I currently hold a teaching certificate in Florida and Arizona, qualifying me to teach middle grades math. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State Universtiy and a Mathser's Degree from the University of West Florida.

When working with a new student, I like to ask them questions about what they are currently working on in class. If I notice that students are needing to work on basic skills, I will incoorporate instruction in those areas into what they are currently needing assistance on.
Most of my career I have worked with students from 5th grade to 8th grade. For 7 of my 11 years of teaching I have taught students with learning disabilities.
