About Tracy

I have been a Special Education Teacher for more than six years and have tutored those with special needs for more than ten years. In this time, I have worked with students from all walks of life. I know that each and every person has their own personal way of making learning real for them. I truly enjoy helping people find their own personal keys to success.

About the lesson

I first just want to let students know they are in a safe place; that wherever they are in their path to learning, I will help them forward in any way I can. This is informal and includes discussion of students strengths, fears, and hopes for the future.

I then get benchmarks of the student's current abilities through informal and formal evaluations. This gives us a solid beginning point and can aid in finding the student's ways of dealing with the work given.

From here, I tailor an initial program to aid the student in moving forward with learning. While carefully planned, I leave room for fluidity due to deeper learning about student abilities and needs.
