About Nedra
Hi, I'm Nedra P. I love teaching! I have over 19 years of experience in the education field. I have a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (English) & an Associate of Science in Teacher Education, as well as several graduate courses in Education Administration. I am also TEFL certified, through Premier TEFL, which qualifies me to teach English to foreigners. My professional skills range from teaching preschoolers, elementary age kids, middle school kids, and adults, and includes several subjects ( Elementary Math, ESL Reading/Reading Comprehension, Writing, Phonics and Grammar, and GED/SAT/ACT English/Language Arts/Reading Test Prep). I also have experience teaching students who have a special need, as well as students with challenging behaviors (adults are included)! I have a love for the English language, which is the drive that pushes me to utilize my expertise to help students become better writers and readers. I look forward to working with anyone who needs to reach short or long term goals. Private lessons with me are the way to improve your writing skills, research skills, and reading comprehension. Moreover, if you need to pass the IELTS or the TOEFL, book me for some private sessions, so that I can assist you in the learning process. Students all over the USA have been affected by the pandemic, academically, especially in the areas of reading and math. I have and am dedicating much of my teaching and tutoring time during this current year, to help elementary school kids to improve in both of these areas. Hopefully I'll see you in the classroom!
