About Sarah
I have over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics grades 6-12 at public schools in and around Clear Lake, Texas, and at the local community college. I am happy to drive to you or meet at the public library for our session. I am a veteran, a Christian, and a patriot. I am kind, patient, and very good at making difficult content seem easy.
I struggled at Math when I was a child. I understand a students frustration, and I'm good at building confidence. Most of my students are much more talented and skilled than they realize. Being a positive influence and seeing my students go from struggling to excellence gives me enormous pride and joy.
I began working as a substitute teacher in 1997 to make extra money. I discovered a talent and a love of teaching, so I returned to college, and finished my degree in education with emphasis in math. I've been a full-time, certified Math teacher since August, 2000.
BS Science in Education.
Valid Texas teacher 6-12 standard certification
20+ years experience in local public schools teaching Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Math Models, and Algebraic Reasoning
