About Sarina
Hello! My name is Sarina Patel, and I am a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying finance and computer science I spent two years as a tutor at Mathnasium for students ages 3-18. I taught a wide range of subjects, including Elementary Math, Pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. I also helped with test preparation for exams such as EOCs, STAAR tests, PSATs, SATs, and ACTs. I have a strategy-based approach in which I like to help students develop a mindset for various types of problems. I do this by testing out different approaches when teaching a topic to see how receptive a student is to specific styles. From there, I can help them become stronger problem-solvers. I enjoy helping people succeed in their academic endeavors, and would love to help your student!
