About Charles

I have always had a passion for math, the sciences, and computer science and engineering. And I always excelled in them from high school to graduate school. I have received academic excellence awards and scored in the highest percentiles on standardized tests.

In high-school, I received:

790/800 in my Achievement test in math,

750/800 in my Achievement test in chemistry,

720/800 in my Achievement test in physics, and

700/800 in SAT Math.

I continued to excel in these areas and went on to major in electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. At MIT, I received decidedly positive recommendations from professors and co-authored several engineering papers featuring original research. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science with a GPA of 4.2 out of 5.0 and my Master of Engineering degree in electrical engineering and computer science with a GPA of 4.6 out of 5.0.

I worked as a tutor for more than two and half years and as a computer programmer. I have tutored students at MIT and at Tutor.com. At Tutor.com, I tutored students from junior high-schools through graduate schools in universities.

I am an outstanding tutor because math, computer science, electrical engineering and the sciences come naturally to me. More importantly, though, I can relay the information easily to students between the ages of 7 years and adulthood by carefully assessing the needs of and tailoring my approach to each learner. I'm a highly adaptable teacher and enjoy working with a wide range of student interests and personalities.

I look forward to working with you to help you better understand math, computer science, programming, electrical engineering and the sciences whether you are preparing for the SAT, your final exams or completing individual assignments and projects. I'm also accepting longer term students for those who want to improve their overall mastery of their chosen subject matter.

I love to help people and I enjoy keeping up to date with new skills.
