About Vivian
I am excited to help students revise and craft college admissions essays, as well as to guide students who are preparing to take the MCAT. As an undergraduate at Duke University, I worked as a teaching assistant for an introductory writing class for over three years. I also have experience mentoring various pre-health students over the years, formally and informally, as a resident assistant, Neuroscience Majors Union member, and Duke American Medical Women's Association member. I also have experience crafting lesson plans and inspiring younger students to enter the STEM field.
Honors and achievements:
Phi Beta Kappa, Outstanding Senior Thesis in Neuroscience, GPA 4.0, MCAT 522, Essay Published in Duke Deliberations, three scientific publications
I am passionate about mentoring students and believe that mentorship is a two-way collaboration. I have also lived in Germany, the US, and Canada, which has helped me to appreciate the diversity that exists in learners. Each learner has unique needs, interests, and experiences, and I am eager to tap into these nuances to help students achieve their academic goals.
