About Vivian
Vivian Jensen-McLaughlin
Vivian started practicing Bikram Yoga in 1997. Although she enjoyed the physical demands of the practice, she began to focus more on the spiritual aspects of yoga after losing both parents in short succession, followed by her uncle and 2 cousins over the past two years. She started practicing at SAHYS in March 2017 and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in December 2017 with Rheza Ollero. Off the mat, Vivian completed an undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, afterwards earning a doctorate degree in Optometry with an emphasis in neurological disorders/binocular vision. “In this digital age, we need more than ever to connect to each other physically, spiritually and emotionally. Yoga is one of the few disciplines that still allows us to connect to ourselves and others in a non-confrontational fashion and also work on becoming a better person. Believe in yourself and rememberyoyYY that yoga is a discipline that can be embraced by all regardless of physicality and age.” Namaste.
