About Erin

It is very important to me for my students to feel that they are in a comfortable learning environment. I try to make sessions fun so that the students want to learn and participate rather than feeling completely forced. Everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds, and I make that a top prioritze to utilize individual learning styles, rather than speeding through any topics before the student truly understands the information. I have experience with both special education and general education in the public school setting. I am ABA certified from Capella University, and am currently working on Master's in Education at Montclair State University.

I love the small moments of growth. It is so exciting to celebrate each little milestone and achievement and celebrate the smaller moments as well as the bigger moments- it's all equally important in its own way!

When I was in college I had no idea what I wanted to do when I graduated, until the end of my senior year when I did an internship at a school for Autism. I loved going and working with the kids and realized a school setting is where I needed to be.

I have been a Pre-K & Kindergarten Autism/ABA teacher for 3 years, and I have also done in home therapy with teenagers. I'm currently enrolled at Montclair State University to get my Master's in Education.

About the lesson

I think it's very important for both myself to get to know the student, and for the student to get to know me! I like to have a minimim of 1 or 2 sessions where we have fun and get to know each other and establish a relationship, (and do a little bit of work!)

I have worked with Pre-K & Kindergarten students with Autism in the classroom, a 14 year old with Autism providing in-home therapy, and 1st & 2nd grade general education students in an after school program.

My pricing systems ranges depending on how long sessions are scheduled for, the type of tutoring, and how many times a week there will be sessions. When there are multiple sessions a week my pricing is slightly lower than 1 session a week.
