About Erik

I love collaborating with my clients to strive for the perfect mix. I'll share concepts with you to apply to your real problems and projects. But I can also help with a little of the heavy lifting where needed.

I've been working with Microsoft Office Applications for 20 years. At least ten years of that career has been designing advanced tools and reporting for a diverse clientele. As I've matured in this career, I've begun to find teaching others as rewarding as the creation of great tools.

I hope for the opportunity to share with you a little of what I've learned, and to help you execute on whatever your current needs are.

About the lesson

I initially interview new students, with the goal of understanding three key components of the mentorship:

1) What is the current real-world problem you're trying to solve. Do you have a class you want to ace, do you have a business with specific needs, or something else? Is there a timeline we need to meet?

2) What is your current skill level? What skills are you confident in? What are you just beginning to get a grasp on? What do you know you don't understand yet? If you have examples of past work you've done, I'd love to see.

3) What do you want out of this mentoring relationship? Are there specific things you want to learn, specific tasks you want to accomplish? Let's spend some time establishing an effective framework for our relationshio.
