About Blake
My business stands out because most songwriters look at songwriting as an occupation. Personally , God gifted myself with the ability(ies) to craft a song whether through writtens or vocally. My resume on songwriting is a clean slate compared to my songwriting peers but I believe my talent speaks for itself , not to sound conceited. My lessons will help students and anyone willing to learn how to construct a song. I will teach cadence , the art of entendres , the ability to coexist with your instrumental/beat, rhyming and any questions about songwriting that is in my capabilities to answer. I am no global superstar but I do have the work and talent to back up my claim. On all streaming platforms , if you search "Blak3" my catalog should show first. If you are not satisfied with my teaching(s) , feel free to express yourself. Even the most accomplished songwriter is an active student of music , learning every day.
What I enjoy about songwriting is like why parents enjoy being parents. I'll explain. When a parent is raising their child , they see the child grow from day one all the way up into adulthood. Same with writing music. When you start writing it is like nurturing and guiding your newborn into adulthood , that adulthood being the finished product of your songwriting. I enjoy the facial & verbal expressions of others when they hear my music or see my writing process. Your songwriting goes as far as your learning process goes. (Side note about myself : I have won a talent show where other songwriters performed , given poetic speeches at academic achievement events , performed for Youth Rallies and have written songs/helped other musicians/songwriters with their creative process).
I am an undergraduate at St.Louis Community College and my major is Criminal Justice Drug Addiction. Of course you can easily say "How does your major relate to your songwriting course?" Well it's simple , drug addiction can affect someone's thinking process or natural way of functioning. I've heard many say they smoke or drink to get in a zone to write/produce music. I won't give my personal opinion on if that's right or wrong but everyone has their own way of getting the best out of their selves.

I am very flexible and understanding that life isn't financial easy for most. My ideal charge would be $15/hr but if you are willing to learn and take the session seriously , I will exercise the price so it would benefit the student and I.
