About Gleb

My name is Gleb V. I am a professional music instructor and performing musician. I have eighteen years of teaching experience for children and adults of all ages, and have been recording and performing internationally for over thirty years.

Specializing in saxophone, clarinet, flute and music theory, I have experience in both public and private after-school programs, as well as in-home lessons settings. My formal music training began at the age of five in Vilnius Lithuania with the famous Vladimir Tchekassin. Since then, I have excelled in my saxophone studies at the Vilnius Conservatory and at the Music Academy in Cologne Germany while pursuing an active performing career. Most recently, in 2005, I followed my passion for teaching music by completing an advanced Instructor program in Instrumental Pedagogy at the Music Academy in Cologne.

I have developed a teaching method that is efficient and creative, and is backed by over thirty years of professional performing experience.

Our daughter Sophie has clarinet lessons with Gleb since half a year. She loves it, Gleb is absolutely passionate about music and teaches her a lot from classic to jazz. He has lots of positive energy and really encourages Sophie.

Gleb has only been teaching my son the saxophone for 6 months and he's already playing solos at his school concerts. Gleb plays along with him to show him any mistakes he makes and shows him what's he's doing wrong. He's very knowledgeable in music theory and doesn't just know music, he feels the notes he plays. I'm very glad I found Gleb to be my son's saxophone teacher.

Gleb has a been a really great teacher for my son! He is really nice and motivates my son to practice and to become a better saxophone player. My son's technique has also improved a lot since he started taking lessons with Gleb. He pays attention to detail and has helped us purchase the correct mouthpiece and reeds.
