About Frank
Mr. Slife tailors lessons to the needs of the student. He has extensive experience as a performer and teacher. Mr. Slife is a licensed New Mexico music teacher and studied music at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Although Mr. Slife is a low brass performer, he teaches brass, woodwind, and string instruments in the public schools. Contact Mr. Slife about beginner, intermediate, and advanced level lessons.

The student will need to have a preliminary lesson with Mr. Slife so he can assess strengths and weaknesses. It is important that Mr. Slife understands what the student aims to get out of lessons. Additionally, it is important that the student understands what Mr. Slife expects in terms of preparation for lessons. Parents are welcome to attend lessons. Adult students are also welcome!
Mr. Slife has taught instruments to ages 10 - collegiate musicians.
You need to find the teacher that can best help you achieve your musical goals. Formal music training is important, but not every private teacher is a great match for every private student.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Private lessons require a practice commitment. Students should come to lessons with the assigned material prepared. You will get more out of the lesson time if you are adequately prepared for lessons.
