About Elisabeth
I love helping children engage with music as a medium for healthy challenge and self-expression. In lessons I prioritize self-confidence, fun, and expression, and I feel really strongly about structuring lessons around students interests, desires, and strengths. The last thing I want is for students to feel stressed about or dread music lessons! Cheers to all of the musical growth that is to come!
I really like watching children learn about new musical ideas and gaining skills, it's energizing and so rewarding.
I have a Bachelor's of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, and am currently working on my Masters of Music in Oboe Performance at the University of Southern California!

I like to get a feel for a student's interests in music, past experience with learning and playing instruments, and what they are interested in learning. Over time I like to make a personal, friendly connection with all of my students so we both feel more comfortable working together!
One of my students performed "Happy Birthday" at a recent recital after overcoming some serious performance anxiety, and did such a good job! She was so proud of herself.
