About Desean
Hello! My name is Desean, and I am a pianist, educator, and lifelong student of music. My goal as a teacher is not only to help students play the piano but to help them develop confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for music.
Students often describe my teaching style as patient, encouraging, and highly personalized. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each individual's goals, experience level, and learning style. Whether you're a complete beginner learning your first notes, an intermediate pianist looking to improve technique, or an advanced musician preparing for performances, I create a structured path to help you succeed.
As an active performer, I bring real-world musical experience into every lesson. I emphasize strong fundamentals, proper technique, musical expression, ear training, and music theory while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. I believe students make the most progress when they feel challenged, supported, and inspired.
What sets me apart is my commitment to helping students become well-rounded musicians rather than simply teaching them how to play songs. I strive to build skills that last a lifetime and empower students to approach music with confidence and curiosity.
I would be honored to be part of your musical journey and look forward to helping you achieve your goals at the piano.
