About
I am a fully California Credentialled educator and worked as the only AP Biology teacher for one of the top High Schools (award winning and nationally recognized) in Los Angeles for 5 years (APPNLA). I attended the University of California Irvine for undergrad and California State University for graduate school. My emphasis on inquiry-based learning has translated into measurable outcomes, including a 25-percentage-point increase in AP Biology exam pass rates through data-informed instructional strategies and iterative refinement of laboratory activities. I have always believed that anyone can learn and master Biology as long as they have the right tool to do so. I am definitely a rigorous educator, yet I also believe that students learn best when they enjoy it. I pride myself in knowing that I can chance anyone's opinion of science, especially those who believe "are not science people"
