About Bradley
I utilize inquiry-based and student-center approaches to education, especially with regard to learning and doing science.
I enjoy supporting students in exploring the world and recognizing their strengths, which include skills and knowledge that they may or may not know they have.
I have worked since my undergraduate college years with youth through the YMCA and Catholic Church. After a couple years of serving as the Teen Director at the Burbank YMCA in Reading, MA, I decided to go back to school at Boston University to begin preparing to be a teacher, because I wanted to work with youth throughout my career. I went through BU's education program in two years while working at the Boston University School of Social Work. My student teaching in 2018-2019 was in a 6th grade classroom in the Public Schools of Brookline. I am currently teaching as a Grade 7 Science Teacher in Chelsea Public Schools.

-Master of Arts from Boston 2019: Secondary Science Education - General Science
-Initial Teaching Licensure in Massachusetts with Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement

About the lesson

I will communicate with the student and facilitate some activities for us to appropriately get to know each other before starting to dive into content. I also help the student generate goals for our learning time. At that point, depending on the discipline, we will start to work on some content learning.
I have worked with students between 6 and 12th grades, including students who are learning English to become bilingual. I have al worked with youth in other areas outside of the classroom starting from age 4 or 5.
