About
I began teaching when I was asked to teach 7th grade math. More recently, while preparing for a graduate program, I needed to update my transcript by retaking science courses that I had originally completed more than 30 years ago. During those classes, I found myself helping other students understand the material. Soon, classmates began asking to meet for review sessions, and before long I was leading tutoring groups that proved to be very successful. The students who attended performed better academically and became more confident and comfortable with the coursework. My approach is to meet students where they are academically, guide them step by step, and help them build the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
