About the lesson

This two part American Red Cross course contains both an online portion featuring award winning interactive learning, and an instructor-led classroom skill session which will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants.
The online portion will be emailed to you upon purchase, and must be taken on a Flash-enabled computer with a high speed internet connection. Allow 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the online content if you are new to First Aid/CPR/AED training or 55 minutes if you have previously received certification.
Once the online portion is completed, you will receive a certificate prompting you to proceed to a skill session which will take place in office or at your desired location and contains a hands on compression check and a choking scenario.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross which is valid for the next two years.
