About Merritt

Craft Classes for all! Create to Live; Live to Create! I bring out the artist in you, no matter your skill level! Let's get CRAFTY!

After working in the fashion industry for 11 years as a textile designer, I decided to open my dream company and do tactile arts again! Living each day to the fullest, I am always doing new projects, private craft parties and expanding into new areas! I thrive on seeing accomplished smiles and love helping each person find the right project to make them smile and give them confidence that ANYONE can create something!

After years in the textile design business, I decided to take my love for teaching and craft it (pun intended) into my perfect career! I opened up this past November and have been doing great in the private party arena!

Prior to being a textile designer for many years in New York City, I owned my own mural company and also studied scenic design and costume design for Theatre, receiving my BFA from UCF. I am always studying trends and new crafts so I stay current!

You can bring me a project you'd like to create, or let me do the work and find a great craft to get started with! I do almost every type of craft, so the only limit is your imagination!

From 3 to 85! Beginners to craft connoisseurs!

Patience is key! Sunny smiles and a helping hard go well with learning a new skill, and I pride myself on making sure that each and every crafter feel welcomed and creative during our sessions! I would want you to feel that too!

I just had a class of ladies making 4' welcome signs for their front porches! One of the crafters brought a salvaged brass anchor she wanted to incorperate and we all had a blast making memories and a sturdy wooden sign for them to cherish!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about your physical abilities before approaching any craft that may involve hammers or other heavy tools, and have an open mind!! Sometimes you "think" you can't do something, only to surprise yourself in the end!
