About Soraya
I am so exited to start tutoring and teaching Spanish, my native language, in a relaxed and fun manner, as part of a cultural enrichment and complementary educational program. I understand the teaching of Spanish as a work tool for the future of the new generations.
I enjoy meeting new people, interact with children and help them to learn and/or practice the Spanish language. I like to share my cultural baggage and talk about the great variety and diversity in terms of places, climates, gastronomy and cultures.
My experience tutoring is limited, however, in addition to having learned Spanish as my native and first language, I did all my studies (elementary, high school and college) in Mexico.
My college studies on Communication Sciences at Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Mexico trained and prepared me on the drafting, correct spelling and storytelling for journalism in Spanish.
My unique experience teaching Spanish in the United States has been in kindergarten and on Spanish immersion groups at Guidepost Montessori at Lake Norman, Huntersville, NC.
