About Janet

I have a degree in exercise science and am a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports medicine. I have over 30 years in the fitness industry. I work with all types of clients. I love working with the aging population on balance, strength dnd flexibility.

I absolutely love what I do! I love seeing people’s lives change for the better when they start exercising and taking care of themselves!

I started by teaching exercise classes back in the early 80’s. I loved fitness so much that I went back to college to pursue a degree in exercise science.

I have a BS in exercise science, certified personal trainer by the American college of Sports Medicine, Ablebody balance trainer. I worked in corporate fitness for 10 years and in the fitness business for over 30 years

About the lesson

I always focus on the clients goals. We work together to meet those goals.

I have worked with every type of client imaginable. Especially working in corporate fitness I saw everyone from the company athlete to folks with acute and chronic health issues. I love working with the aging population on balance training, fall prevention.

I would say to research your trainer. Make sure they are a good match for you. Most importantly, make sure they are well qualified. There are a lot of weekend certified trainers out there. Look for educated and experienced trainers in order to make sure you get a trainer who will train you safely AND effectively.

I recently trained a woman to run a 5 k. She and I ran it together and she reached her goal! So rewarding!
