About John
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in photography in 1975, the forces of life pushed my passion into the shadows for a long time. A personal re-invention brought me into the teaching profession in 1991 and from 2000-2014 I was a certified Vocational Ed. and Art teacher in a large Montana High School. Photography was my major assignment but I also taught Art, Auto Shop, and Wood Shop classes. I have an extensive library of self-published educational materials. It was online for my students but is currently off line.
I am currently retired. Spend my time doing an assortment of activities. Photography (favorite subjects are trains), travel, and volunteer work among other things.
Self-taught sailor - 40+ years
20 years in Aikido (Japanese martial art) Shodan (1st degree) and instructor for half of that.
One personal hobby is photography and videography of trains.
