About Rebecca

I am passionate about photography, and about teaching. It took me a long time to learn what I know now. I could have learned quickly, if only I had a teacher who would give me the tips and tricks that I needed! I love sharing those things with my students and watching them grasp concepts and bring amazing images to life!

I met a lady who reminded me of myself several years ago. She loved photography, and finally was able to buy a nice DSLR, but found that she didn't know how to use it. When she told me her situation, I offered to teach her, and I found it invigorating! 



I have been a photographer for several years, but learned in 2016 that I wanted to educate myself a little more, so I took some classes. The classes opened my eyes, but they were very large and rather expensive. I hope to impart what I have learned in a smaller setting and offer classes at a reasonalbe price.

I teach either one-on-one or in a small classroom setting, in order to ensure that all questions are answered. I strive to make sure that my students have a good understanding of the concepts being taught before leaving the lesson.



I have worked with students from ages 18 or 19 years to one student in his 70's. I am open to working with children, though I have not yet had the opportunity.



Find someone who is passionate about photography and teaching!



Watching one particular student fully grasp a concept. She was SO happy and excited, she couldn't wait to go try it out. And we did - together! It was rewarding and fun.



A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
That each camera is different. I am not familiar with some of the smaller point-and-shoot cameras, so I am not always able to go through all of the settings one-by-one. I would recommend that you learn as much as possible (YouTube) about your camera before bringing it to a class.
