About Paul

I have worked in the photography business over 10 years selling cameras, printing pictures and teaching photography to people who bought new cameras or just wanted to learn how to take better pictures with their current one.

I have sold many of my own prints, did some comercial photography and pet portraits. My images have been featured in the Albany BID calendar and the Adirondack Balloon Festival calendar. I have been a member of the Adirondack Balloon Festival photography crew for over 5 years which is one of my favorite events to photograph.

My favorite subject is landscape and nature photography. You can see sample images on my Fine Art America site (concealed information) and my facebook page (concealed information)

A course will be tailored to your specific interests and will include learning how to use aperture, shutter and composition rules to enhance your photography.

I worked at Ritz Camera selling camers and printing pictures and was asked by my manager if I wanted to teach the photography classes they offered, when the possition became available.

I am self taught having read lots of books on photography and learned different techniques from professional photographers I have worked with or gone on photo shoots with.

About the lesson

When working with new students I ask many questions before hand to find out their level of experience they have, what type of camera they are using and what types of pictures they like to take. This gives my an idea how to tailer lessons to their specific needs and what type of outdoor location to pick.

I have worked with many different types of students of all ages from beginers to those who wanted to learn more advanced techniques.

There are many different types of photography from people to nature to architecture, make sure the person is well versed in that subject matter and also knows the complexities of shutter and aperature usage for different situations.

I am asked to be a volunteer on the photography crew for the Adirondack Balloon Festival every year and this year I got to go up in a Balloon and got some amazing shots.
