I determine what goals the student has and where the student is now in the initial interview. In this fashion, I can determine the student's profiency (or lack thereof) and determine the best path forward.

I made a music video for a musician friend of mine. He filmed himself with a cellphone camera on four separate occasions, playing the same song, and I edited all four takes together into one video. He was rewarded by getting to participate in the creative filming process.
