About Zoel
I focus on the individual when teaching. Understanding how they think in order to grasp their perspective in the arts. There are no rules to art, and I encourage that. I teach through helping my student further understand their way of creating art.
There is an art to everything. Though maybe not at first glance, anything that took process, emotion, thinking can be and should be considered art. Teaching others how to view art in such a manner, art with no guidelines or borders to restrict oneself. I want to educate people on how to create artwork that doesn't have to make everyone nod. Artwork that creates a sense of confusion or questioning. I enjoy the work that I do simply because I am able to teach people how to connect to the world of arts more so than they already do.
I studied at Harrison School for the Arts attending the Visual Arts department.

Depending on what my student is learning, i first speak to them to fully understand what they want out of this learning experience. I want to create an environment that they feel comfortable working in so that it doesn't obstruct their work process.
The students that I find to have the most potential are the ones willing to create for themselves with no borderlines to the making of the artwork itself.
Make sure to understand their motivations. The world of art is a very deceitful place with many people who want to belittle others work simply because they don't deem it be "art".
