About Arthur
I have been photographing for over 50 years. I particularly like to photograph nature and wildlife but take all kinds of photos including sports and portraits.
I use Lightroom to edit my photos. I DO NOT USE PHOTOSHOP.
I do not do film developing in a darkroom.
I was a school teacher for 36 years so I am able to teach at whatever level we find your photography skills.
I have also been giving professional slide shows for over 40 years.
My website is: PhotographyWorksOfArt.com
I would like to help you gain skills to take better photos by first demetermining your skill level and needs, and then proceeding from there.

I was a School teacher for 36 years and have been photographing for more than 50 years. With my knowledge of photgraphy and my experience of teaching, my students say they can understand the basics of photography better after meeting with me. I have handouts that you can take home to review what we went over.

I like to find out what the students want to learn and what they already know. I then begin teaching with that input in mind. One young lady told me that after an hour and a half she had learned more than she had after taking an entire course somewhere else.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What subjects would you like to photograph?
Will your camera meet the needs for that photography?
Do I understand how to use my present camera?

Perfect! Art explains the functions in my camera in an easy to understand manner. He shares his work and asks me questions to be sure I understand what we discussed. I look forward to working with him a few more sessions.
Perfect! Arthur knows his craft and as a retired elementary school teacher, he is a patient and excellent teacher.
Perfect! Arthur was a great teacher. He was prepared, used multiple teaching methods to make sure I understood and provided a lot of advice. I definitely recommend him. Wonderful experience.
