About Nancy

Besides being a professional photographer, I am a Museum Educator at the Internationsl Center of Photography and teach Adobe Lightroom as well as tutor private students in basic photography instruction.

I am a photographer first and foremost, passionate about the art and the craft of the decisive moment. My students are giant steps ahead of their peers as they receive one-on-one instruction and feedback tailored to their level of experience.

I studied at ICP and got my masters degree from the ICP/NYU Masters program in Studio Arts in 1988.

(concealed information)

(concealed information)

I was a middle school photography teacher at a private school in NYC. I have taught at the 92nd Street Y's photography program, the Whole Health Forum, the VEI Foundation's summer retreats, and will be teaching at the JCC of Manhattan in the near future.

I have a Masters degree in photography from ICP/NYU.

I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years.

About the lesson

After an initial assessment we will make a decision about how best to work together. This includes setting goals and a time frame.

Young children, middle school students, at-risk students, professional photographers, adults.

You will know when you have found someone who gets you, who loves photography, and who has teaching experience.

I love Photoville in Dumbo, the Photo Expo at the Javits Center and AIPAD -all in NYC.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What kind of camera, lenses, computer, card reader and, most importantly, back-up system do I have? Am I ready to stretch my imagination and creativity?
