LET ME TEACH YOU HOW TO BE A PHOTOGRAPHER

As a retired New York Post staff photographer, specializing in entertainment photography, I know what it takes to look for that special shot. I’ve lived by the motto of THINK more and don’t just sit on the shutter button. Nothing pleases me more than passing on my knowledge of photography. And in the world of DSLR's, iPhones and Android phones, don't leave behind the artisanship of black and white photography.

We will also chat about what camera (or phone) you use, the correct lensing, and any other issues that might come up, depending on the type of photography you want to pursue.

With my lessons, YOU are going to get involved with me on a photographic level. TO me, your not just going to a student. Your going to be as inportant to me as my work is, because I want you to really "get it" as we go through these steps. At the risk of sounding corny, you will get involved because I get involved with you on this photographic journey that you want to go on.

NOTE: As a remote instructor, I am available via Skype or Facetime (Mac). IF your not able, we can always use the phone, but "seeing" each other is really a much more preferable way communicate and for you to understand the nuances that we will be taking about.

Passing on my 45 years of knowledge to photographers. I have gathered a history of photography dating back to darkroom work. It's time to pass on my knowledge for others who want to learn the art of photography.

Photography in most cases is not about how big or small, expensive or inexpensive your camera is. Its all what you do with the camera at hand, and how you intepret the lighting. There are exceptions surely, such as sports photography, where you must have really long lenses, and deep knowledge of the game to anticpate the players' moves, but for general purposes, the above holds true.

About the lesson

1-I want to listen to the photographer and hear what they want to accomplish, what interests them and how far do they want to go.

2-Once I have an understanding of their goals, I am in a better position to help them.
