About Gregory

The first hour of the class is spent learning about camera features and shooting techniques. During the second hour, students put the lesson into practice by snapping photographs. The sessions take place at scenic locations such as the Oregon State Capital building or a public park. Students must bring their own cameras.

About Gregory Dean Photography

The instructors of Gregory Dean Photography help amateur shutterbugs to hone their camera skills with practical tips on composition, lighting, and exposure. Students put that advice into practice by photographing the stately lines of the Oregon State Capital building, the rich colors of autumn leaves in public parks, and other scenic sites around town. Both one-on-one and small-group workshops are available.

I was asked to present something for a local Senior Activity Center and that got the ball rolling.

A childhood hobby turned occupation turned lifetime career.

I attended University of Oregon as a Visual Design Major specializing in Photography and Graphic Design.

I have had the priveledge of learning and training under some true legends of professional photography. My training and learning continues constantly.

About the lesson

I always start with the questions - "What is your favorite subject to photograph?" and "How long have you been taking pictures?"

It is also important to find out what the student is hoping to take away from the lessons as I customize each lesson plan.

Teens to Retirees, beginners to advanced.

Having my daughter work with me recently on a video production for Pet Food, she was the hand model. Also provided voice over work and she helped me launch recent social media reels.
