About Chad

I think that my service stands out as I like to work one on one with my students, even when working with multiple students in a class. I make sure the students are learning things that will get them where they would like to get with their photography from settings on the camera to the theory of light to the editing of their digital photographs in Photoshop!

I love what I do! I am a boudoir photographer and love working with my clients to make their vision a reality and create a piece of art they are proud to share with their significant other and even their close friends!

I love teaching others how to capture their vision in the camera and create the fantasy they see from that image in Photoshop! I enjoy meeting new people and learning about them and what they want to learn about! I love seeing new styles and ideas come to life in front of me as my students progress!

I found that a lot of my friends wanted to learn photography and how to use the newer cameras as they became more accessable with the digital consumer DSLRs that have come out. I started taking students on the weekends and walking them through the basics and then they would come back and want to learn the more advanced photography and studio lighting and photo editing, so I started teaching those courses and everything in between!

I am an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop CC and a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America. I have also taken the courses at the New York Institute of Photography getting my photography certificate in 2001 back when we still used Film for the certification! I am constantly trying to learn more and gain knowledge in new processes and styles.

About the lesson

My typical process of working with a new student is to talk with them about their experience and what they think they would like to learn and how they like to learn. I work with everyone from just picking up a camera to working on photos to get a complete digital composite image created in Adobe Photoshop. I try to tailor each class to the individuals in the class and try to make sure if there are multiple students in the class that they are all looking for the same sort of training on the same subject!

I have worked with people who just wanted to learn how to use a small point and shoot or their phone camera to get better images, to those who wanted to learn to use a higher end DSLR to take images and edit them to magazine quality for submissions to competitons or other publications! Love to work with all types of people and all levels of photographers!

Hmmm, Advice on looking for a teacher and being fair and honest. You found him! Naw, just kidding :) I would look for a teacher you can get along with and who teaches exactly what you are looking for. Make sure they have a personality that matches yours and teaches in a way that is compatible with how you like to learn! There are a lot of photographers that will teach a class, so you are bound to find exactly what you are looking for!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what you want to do with the images you take. Think also about the images you have taken and how you would like them to improve. Do you need to learn photoshop or do you just need to get better images right out of the camera that don't need to be edited as much? These are just a few things, but they will help you find the right class and ask for the right items to learn!

Details

We do have a standard pricing. We charge $199 / person / class. Our classes are up to 4 hours long and on the weekend. We try to do our classes on Sundays from 11am to 3pm and then go out for a drink or lunch / dinner afterwards to chat and just have a little more fun getting to know each other and learning more about photography from each other!
