About Haseeb

I'm a graduate student at MIT studying Chemistry. Throughout my graduate and undergraduate experience, I have experience teaching students in many subjects such as chemistry, biology, math, and English. I'd be very happy to help with any questions you may have!

It is really nice to know that I'm able to make a difference in the academic lives of those I tutor. I rememeber a classmate and friend who I tutored in organic chemistry, and upon completing the course, my classmate passed the class and told me that without my help, he/she would need to retake the course. These types of situtations, where my help truly impacts the outcome of a student's academic grades and possibly career, are very humbling.

I am a PhD student in MIT's Chemistry department. I have taught two classes in chemistry as a graduate student. As an undergraduate chemistry major, I was an English tutor. I also privately tutored students in chemistry, precalculus, and calculus.

About the lesson

I like to work together with students to walk through examples and problems after going over key concepts. I like to provide students with problems or questions to answer independently to grasp the concepts, with help from me as needed.

I have worked with both younger, older, and similarly aged students.

I would advise the student to stick with their instincts and look to hire whoever they feel comfortable talking to and asking questions; this is very important for a student to obtain the most out of his/her tutoring session.

I'm a big basketball fan. A recent event I am highly fond of is the Cavaliers comeback win in the NBA finals against the warriors when down 3-1. They won 3 games straight against the team with the most teams in NBA history. I am fond of this event for two reasons. Firstly, I am a big Lebron fan. Secondly, the Cavaliers never gave up on the series despite a team never winning the NBA finals when being down 3-1; this event really emphasized the point of always trying your best and never giving up.
