About Cynthia

A close friend started a piano studio from her home. We both grew up taking lessons and playing in our respective churches. I played the organ in my small Baptist church for two years before we moved and in my high school Baptist church for a year before we moved again.

I interviewed my friend, and I looked at pedagogy information online.

60 years of playing piano and 8 years of Progressive classical private piano lessons

55 years of playing flute and 4 years of classical Progressive private flute lessons

About the lesson

Access each student's interest level and competency prior to ordering books.

This can be done in a 30 minute interview with student and parents - or with older students.

From ages 3 to 70. Those who want to learn and those who do not, but are doing it because their parents want them to.

If a child student does not practice, and does not learn, I speak to their parents to tell them their money is not being used wisely by the child.
