About Heather

I am currently a piano performance major at University of Michigan and have learned piano for well over 10 years. I've won many piano competitions internationally and across the nation. I've taught piano to kids in high school and would love to continue some more teaching while in college. I believe learning piano is a fun process and with this skill, you can achieve much more!

I love seeing smiles and having the listeners be smiling too after the music is learned. It's hard work to learn and master any piece, but the passion and work put into a piece pays off completely and allows listeners and the player him/herself to appreciate the love of music.

I always loved to spread my knowledge in music to other students and it's never too old to learn a new instrument. Music is especially important and I wanted to provide this service early on. Starting in high school, I gathered a group of students around my neighborhood and started teaching. I immediatley fell in love afterwards and gained more teaching methods from my professor.

I am currently studying for a piano performance at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. I have had a lot of training in music and teaching since a child and especially in high school.

About the lesson

I would like to see their current abilities and I will work with them providing some of my recommended resources. If you would like to show me what they're working on I can totally focus on what is needed first.

I have worked with students as little as 3 years old to students as old as 61. So, I've worked with a huge range of students with different skills and abilities.

$20-$30 would probably be starting price. For more highly skilled students, my starting price will be $40/hr.
