About Mary

I love to teach Piano because I have always loved playing the piano. I am currently teaching at St. Edwards University in addition to my home studio. I have always wanted to share music with everyone. I am teaching many piano students in college classes, beginning through advanced levels. I teach from my Piano Studio in Central Austin, Texas. My students participate in ADMTA and TMTA events as well as Piano Guild Auditions. We have two piano recitals a year.

I enjoy my Students and I enjoy teaching them. I have had many students continue Piano Lessons through High School and into College here in Austin. I also enjoy the results of their practice . . hearing their beautiful music.

I have 2 degrees from U.T. in Austin . . a Bachelor of Music Education and a Masters in Piano Pedagogy.

About the lesson

First I like to assess where they are in regards to music and the piano. I need to know where to begin to teach them.
