Piano lessons via Zoom!

Since a few months I have piano lessons via Zoom from Lennert Triesschein.
Five years ago I started with lessons in Amsterdam. At that moment Lennart was a student of the Amsterdam Conservatorium and was looking for students to practice with.
For one and a half year I took his lessons with great pleasure and I can assure you that it is not so easey to follow lessons when you're over sixty.
Lennart has an eye for your personal problems. He knows that a young child needs another didactical approach than an adult.
That makes him a person/teacher with great didactical skils.
Next to the piano lessons, you learn a lot about the technical site of how to play your instrument.
He knows a lot about the history of the composers and tells you stories and that makes that time flies, which feels great.

After his graduation of the Amsterdam Conservatorium he went to the US for his master degrees.
Via Facebook I followed his steps and a few months ago I read that he was looking for students to teach online.
I was so happy with that message because my piano teachter in The Netherlands at that time had stopped giving lessons because of Covid19.
So Lennart is again my teacher and I love having lessons by internet. I can stay at home and it feels less stressful for me.
I am sitting at home behind my own instrument, that gives me more confidence and it leads to better results.
I am very happy with the way it goes now!

He knew exactly where I was in my development and adjusted his plans accordingly. Everyone is unique, and he takes the time to get to know his students and their musical skills, to build on their foundations and challenge them with new concepts.

On top of that, he inspired me to continue in music and explore other styles.

His patience and motivation to learn me how to play the piano. And on top of that he's really a very nice guy.

He’s very patient. He can explain very well and if you have something specific you want to learn like a song he’ll have everything and more the next lesson for you to learn it. I loved my lessons with Lennart. I was always looking forward to go to my piano lessons.

As an older player I’ve had quite a few piano teachers over the years, but I can honestly say that I’ve made more progress with Lennart than with any other. From the first lesson it was apparent to me that Lennart has a gift for tailoring his piano lessons to whatever level you’re at, each one having a good balance between theory, technique, fun and inspiration. You’ll come a long way with this teacher!

Lennart always made me feel comfortable with my voice on good days and bad days. I appreciated his attention to expressive detail in whatever music we were working on, and he was able to adapt to all the different types of music I would throw at him (musical theater, art song, aria, jazz, pop, lieder, etc.)!

Lennart was a fantastic pianist and coach to work with. Not only is he a phenomenal musician who can play pretty much anything you put in front of him, but he has an amazing sense of the message and tone of the songs he plays. Lennart has helped me many times to figure out a different style or a deeper meaning to the songs I was singing which allowed me to take my performances to the next level. I would highly recommend working with him if you get the chance.

Lennart is seriously a master piano instructor and player. Lennart was able to diagnose the challenge that impact my playing and correct those challenges in my playing. Lennart has impeccably musicality, heart, and he knows how to build a students technical chops. Lennart helped me become aware of challenges, habits, and strengths I didn’t know I possessed. I will be taking more lessons with Lennart. I’ve studied with 7 excellent piano instructors throughout my life, and Lennart is the best piano teacher I’ve found.

He is an incredible teacher and always encourages me to work hard and constantly improve my skills.
