About Carolina

Carolina trained at the Aaron Copland School of Music for Vocal Performance and the Frank Sinatra School of Arts where she specialized in Voice and Musical Theatre. She was also involved in the Carnegie Musical Exchange while in school where she had the opportunity to write and perform composition at Carnegie Hall. She has performed in various venues across NYC including Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Carolina has been apart of MasterVoices (formerly known as the Collegiate Chorale) for several years, traveling with them on scholarship in 2014 to Switzerland to the Verbier Music Festival to perform.

Some of her performance credits include Marianne in Tartuffe, Spirit #2 in The Magic Flute, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, Wendy in Peter Pan, Mary Lou in Cowgirls, Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors and Diane in Sealed for Freshness.

Carolina is dedicated to helping her students develop a love and understanding of music, while passing along all of her fundamental knowledge in order to help them on their musical journey and find their own voice. She hopes all of her students get to experience the fun and power of music! She strongly believes in the fundamentals of vocal health, musical expression, and versatility. For voice she has worked through many genres including Jazz, Musical Theatre, Classical, Opera, and Pop. She also teaches Piano up until NYSSMA level 3 / Beginner to Intermediate.

I got started teaching at a Music Studio in Fresh Meadows after I was recommended to the owner by one of my friends. I fell in love with teaching music then.

I have a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance. I have been taking voice lessons since I was 13 and started piano at 14. I attended a Frank Sinatra High School of Performing Arts.

About the lesson

Assess the students knowledge they may already have, after work on basic fundamentals they may be needeing brushing up on or need to learn.

Students of all ages and specializing in all genres of music.

Not every teacher may be "the one" and that's okay! You need someone that will be encouraging and cheer you on, as well as be very honest about your growth. Find someone you really hit it off with.
