Make sure it is a good match and that your ideals line up! For example if you are looking to take your music seriously make sure the teacher is classically trained. It’s always a good idea to go to a recital or watch videos of the teachers students as well!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What their goals are, what they are looking to get out of their lessons, what kind of music they want to learn, and think about where this will fall in your daily priorities.
