About Fenny
I started teaching the piano when I was in college to earn some tuition fees.
I passed the highest level of piano certification in China. I have played the piano for 20 years.

First, I would call the student before the class and schedule the most convenient time and location for them
First 10 minutes of the class, I would ask the student to perform any songs that student can play. Based on the song, I will evaluate the level they are in the piano.
Second 10 minutes of the class, I will pull out some songs that the student might be interested in based on their piano levels.
Then from there, we will learn this song step by step together.
In the last 10 minutes, I will ask them to play the song and gave some advice before they go home to practice.
I like to work with k-12 students. But I have also taught adults before.
I would suggest starting to learn the piano as early as possible. The piano is a hard-core skill where you need to cooperate with the whole body.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The students should walk through the music sheet thoroughly before they ask questions about the music sheet. Sometimes it might just be a single detail that they forgot to look at while practicing.
