About Wesly

I passed Final Grade of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at age 15.

I've been playing piano professionally for the last 6 years.

I played at ex-NFL player Tony Gonzalez's home for a Christmas party.

I graduated the University of La Verne in Business and Music.

My music has garnered over 52,000 streams over all music platforms.

My music has been accepted by Artlist and Crucial Music for commercial use.

I have a gold medal with the Barbershop Chorus Masters of Harmony when we competed internationally in 2017.

About the lesson

My teaching method is a lot looser than most other teachers. I believe that teaching should be dynamic because every student is different.

First, I'll identify what your goals are. There are two main ways I teach:

1) You want to learn fundamentals. It will take longer (6-12 months depending on the student). I will teach you how to read music, how to build chords, patterns with the left hand and finger techniques. This path helps you become good enough that you can play things on your own without my help.

2) You want to learn for a specific goal, whether it be to play a specific song or learn how to write. This takes shorter time, (2-3 months roughly), but it will be hard to transfer what you learned to other pieces because I adjust the material to the specific goal.

It all depends on the goals of the student.

Chemistry is everything. Don't be afraid to try different teachers to find the right fit for you. Your money and time is very important, and if you are investing in yourself you should get your money's worth. I've had students come to me after 6 months of lessons and not know how to read music.

Understand that if you want to build this skill, it will take time and commitment. But if you are willing to take the plunge, I will help you become the best musician you can be.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1) How much time are you willing to dedicate to this?
2) What are your goals for learning?

3) What is your budget?
4) What kind of teacher are you looking for? (Gender, experience, style)
