About Perrin

I am a friendly, easy-going college student with experience teaching to younger students and a desire to help people learn!

I like interacting with younger musicians and hoping to instill a love for music in younger musicians in the way that I have a love for music now.

I started teaching as a volunteer with Music Mentors of Pomona Valley, teaching some students from local high schools in Claremont.

12 years of piano lessons and continual piano piano playing throughout high school and college.

About the lesson

I assess their skill level, ask them about the kinds of music they want to play, watch them play for some time, decide on their strengths and weak points, and pick appropriate level music from there focusing on enjoying the music while helping their weak points with playing.

My primary student was a 14 year old girl with beginner to intermediate level skills, but I am comfortable teaching students anywhere from the beginner to intermediate levels.
