About Tina
Unleash your creativity by succeeding at piano lessons! I have a positive, holistic approach that helps students lay a strong foundation in musical understanding, develop strong technical skills, explore creative activities, and learn to sight read a wide variety of musical styles and periods.
I have taught for many years, served as director of a private music school, and have specialized training in piano pedagogy. I work with all ages, but due to the unique challenges of the piano, do not believe students should begin study until they are 8 or 9. My specialty is teen and adult students.
I'm happy to give you more information about my practice, located in Columbia close to Route 29. Call me for more information!
I have many years of training at the college level in piano performance, music theory and history, piano pedagogy (the art of teaching piano), music composition, and jazz piano pedagogy.
I hold memberships in several different professional music teacher organizations. This allows me to provide community performance opportunities to my students.
