About Katie
Hi! My name is Katie, and I have a passion for teaching, motivating, and making piano lessons FUN! Every student is unique and I enjoy figuring out how best to educate and motivate them. I'm constantly researching and improving myself as well to ensure each student will hit their goals. I look forward to meeting you!
Seeing my students' eyes light up along with their giant smiles when they have done something well or perfected a piece. Building confidence in my students is very special to me and I'm proud of the work I do.
I started teaching with the idea that I could teach a few students in the evenings while my kids are at home with me. I figured I'd return to my analytics career once my kids are in school. Now, I love it SO much I'm never going back! My goal is to be a piano teacher permanently.

I have worked with beginners and transfers of all ages!
I think it's important that you have a connection with your teacher. I typically connect with my students through fun and laughter. Piano lessons should be something the student looks foward to every week.

My daughter Macey loves her lessons with Miss Katie! At the end of her lessons, Macey grabs the piano bench and says "I'm not leaving!". Katie keeps lessons interesting by playing games with Macey as well as working from the lesson book. Katie is very encouraging with Macey and has been patient when she doesn't get to practice as much. Highly recommend!
