About Mark
I love teaching and tutoring Music! I've taught both high school and college levels since 1991 and hold a DMA from Yale, so I've been through the trenches and know what it takes for you to succeed. I'm patient and encouraging, helping you reach your best level.
I started tutoring back in high school, taught lessons through college and graduate school, and then taught at university and high school levels starting in 1991.
I have over 20 years experience teaching and tutoring students at high school, college and adult levels. I hold the DMA from Yale University and was a professor at Notre Dame.

I like to get to know a student's goals as well as their strengths so we can plot a course to help them achieve at their best level. I always remember I'm not teaching music, I'm teaching a person -- so it's important to encourage and nurture, as well as challenge. It's a journey we take together.
I've enjoyed working with high school, college and adult students at many different levels.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think a student should be clear about what they want to achieve through tutoring, whether it's a course they're struggling with, or a skill they want to acquire, etc. The clearer the goal, the easier it is to reach it.
