About Shanna
My teaching style is student led. I want my students, no matter what their age, to be here because I am helping them acheive their goals. I will never ask a student to do something without telling them how this task bring them closer to their goals. I will also never tell them what their goal should be. I want every one to share my love of music, and that is best cultivated within rather than forced upon a child.
I have been playing music for 30 years, and teaching for 19 years. I've studied piano at the university level, and have worked for a multiple studios before opening my own. I also have been serving as an accompanist for 21 years and have extensive experience with ensembles and soloists of all ages and abilities.

Mrs. Slight was our daughter's first piano teacher. Not only did she teach proper technique, but she instilled in our daughter the love of music and playing. We were very sad to lose her [when she moved]. Mrs Slight is an enthusiastic and loving teacher and I would not hesitate to recommend her.
