About Darlene
Super excited to see beginners continually reach their musical goals. I feel God gave me this talent and I want to help others learn the piano. I began lessons at five years old and have played for churches, school programs, weddings, funerals, etc. for many years. I look forward to helping others learn to play and succeed.
Felt God was calling me to help beginners get started playing piano. I have played for years and want to give back to others. Want to be an encourager for others.
Have played since I was five years old and took lessons (approximately 18 years) from some very successful pianists.

Get to know them and what they like to do. Discuss what they want to accomplish and encourage excitement about learning the piano. Introduce basics, such as proper physical posture and finger strengthening. Discuss lesson book, start introducing notes and piano keys.
Beginning to intermediate students, young children to adults.
Find someone you feel comfortable with, that encourages and pushes you to do better.
Playing for a Preschool Christmas program and watching the children go from being nervous at the beginning to smiles at the end for their great accomplishments.They were so proud and giddy.
