About Yokoyasuna

Hello, my name is yokoyasuna. I'm capable of efficiently playing multiple instruments such as flute,guitar (acoustic),electric guitar, piano, and so on. I have many years of previous experience teaching young an old wanting to learn. I also teach music theory and am willing to tutor.

I grew an interest for teaching music from a young age and have always wanted to find a way for those who wished to learn it if they a hard time understanding or they felt they didnt have what it takes.

Over the years I have received consistent early training to become a professional flautist, guitarist and pianist. I have played in to college symphonic orchestras three flautist quartets and had a solo guitarist vocalist career for the past 3 years. I have experience is ranging from playing in classical music, to Jazz, two Blues, current music, and gospel music of all branches. Typically any music that has been presented to me i have been able to execute properly within a realistic amount of time.

About the lesson

Typically my first time with a new student I analyze what they've learned so far and what they wish to learn in the future. I like to see their personal interest and create a lesson plan for them specifically that applies and fufills all their needs and helps them to become a well-rounded student/musician. I don't like to waste time, so the way to combat that is to be consistent and create a scheduled agreement before hand on how to maximize my students potential. Although this should be a fun,uplifting and encouraging experience for my students to continue on their path as a musician and artist, I wouldn't hesitate to give a slight push or increase in my teaching to challenge my students if I know they are capable.

I have ranged in experienced with many types of students at levels of beginner to professional from the ages of 4-45.

Make sure the teacher is a good fit for your personal needs and doesnt focus on only the financial aspects of the relationship you have with them. An also to ensure that they are capable of teaching you what you want to learn rather than what they think you should.

Details

Usually I would try to adjust to what is suitable for each customer. But typically I would prefer for clients to pay by the number of lessons and how long each may take. Such as, if I have one student for one hour and only one session, the minimum payment I could accept would be $50. But if I have another client that wishes to be more consistent, such as lessons ranging from atleast one hour, to 3-4 times a week the price would be $150 per week.
