I didn’t originally plan on teaching; however, I had to take a class in pedagogy when I was in college. I ended up loving teaching, which changed my trajectory.

About the lesson

Assess current skill level, discuss goals and expectations, create personalized lesson plan, provide constructive feedback, adapt teaching style to suit learning preferences and pace, foster supportive and encouraging learning environment to help students thrive.

I have worked with small children up to elderly students in their 80’s. My students have been beginners through professionals. I have helped students get into prestigious collegiate programs such as Indiana University and Carnegie Mellon and obtain jobs in the industry. One of my students got a lead role in Disney channel movie from their first audition ever!

Consider the teacher's qualifications, experience, teaching style, and student reviews. Additionally, prioritize finding someone who can tailor their approach to your specific goals and learning preferences. Find someone you are comfortable with, who challenges and motivates you.

Today, a student played their completed voiceover reel for me, which he has been working on for quite a while. It was a proud moment for me! I am so excited to see where he goes from here!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before talking to teachers about their needs, students should consider questions such as:

What specific goals do I want to achieve in voice, piano, or acting?

What is my current skill level and where do I need improvement?

What learning style works best for me?

How much time can I dedicate to practice each week?

Do I have any specific preferences or requirements for a teacher, such as availability, teaching methods, or personality traits?

What resources or support do I need to reach my goals effectively?
